Yes, you may bring luggage and bags on Chicago Water Taxi.

Are Bicycles allowed on Chicago Water Taxi?

Yes, bicycles are allowed on the boats during in off peak hours (10am – 4pm).

Are animals allowed on Chicago Water Taxi?

Only service animals are allowed on Chicago Water Taxi.

Can I call a water taxi to pick me up?

No, Chicago Water Taxi operates on a set schedule and does not pick up on demand.

Can I have a private water taxi?

Chicago Water Taxis are available for private transportation or private charter events during evening hours. Please call 312-337-1446 to receive a quote and start planning your unforgettable event.

Can I bring food and water on the water taxis?

Food is allowed on the water taxis as are non-alcoholic beverages.

How can I purchase tickets?

One Way Tickets and All Day Passes are available on the boat with cash. All tickets are available at the kiosks and ticket offices at Ogilvie/Union and Michigan Ave.

Are the water taxis handicap accessible?

Chicago Water Taxi’s Riverwalk and Chinatown Stop are ADA accessible. CWT may make a reasonable accommodation to accommodate disabled individuals. 

What happens if the weather is bad?

Chicago Water Taxi operates rain or shine from March to November. 

Can I use my Ventra Card?

Chicago Water Taxi does not accept Ventra cards.

Can I use RTA Transit Checks or Wage Works?

Yes, Ten rides, and 31 day passes are available .

How Can I get enrolled in a Corporate Cruiser Program?
